The Photoshoot
All who participate will receive a COMPLIMENTARY photoshoot by award-winning portrait artist, Cyndi Kuiper, of Chickpea Photography at her studio located in charming and historic Point Richmond ($600 Value).
The Artwork
There is no obligation to purchase, but you will have a fun cinematic viewing appointment to review your proofs the week after your photoshoot. Should you fall head over heels (which we’re pretty sure you will) with any of your images, we’ll help guide you through the options, ensuring the best fit for you. At that time, you can apply your $300 artwork credit toward any collection of prints and digital negatives.
As a guide, artwork begins at $495, and collections start at $1490 before any discount is applied.
Personalized Service
We send our expert guidance and suggestions on what to wear for the portrait session including tips on how to prepare your dog. And we’re always here to help in case you have any questions or want to chat before your session. Chickpea Photography has been working with pets and their people for 14 years, so you can relax and know you are in good hands (or paws).
Hey there, I'm Cyndi - your new photographer bestie!
Like many little girls, I wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up. but when I was 16, I discovered photography and knew that was my passion. Being able to combine my love of pets and photography is what brings me joy. Be able to create images that tug at your heart strings and make you laugh out loud is my super power.
When not working you can find me on the beach, or painting watercolors or binge watching the latest Netflix series. Oh and I almost forgot-cake-I love cake, lemon, chocolate, carrot...yum!

Life is often hectic in the San Francisco Bay Area. You're busy and the last thing you want to hassle with is figuring out what to wear, wondering if you dog will sit still, what if your kids don't behave, what if the hubby just stands there looking uncomfortable? And then you think "just forget it, I hate taking my picture anyway". This is why we help you with everything you need and make your time in the studio fun and relaxing. And that is a promise!

Why are you offering these sessions?
Ask anyone who grew up with a pet and they will tell you everyone of their cherished memories. The bond between a child and their dog is so beautiful and inspiring. It’s a hard fact that we never get enough time with our dogs, and that they leave us too soon.

Where is the studio located?
We are thrilled to have a spot in charming and historic Point Richmond, the hidden waterfront city of the East Bay. Many clients enjoy hanging around in Point Richmond after (or before) the session to grab lunch or dinner, enjoy the cute shops, the art gallery, grab a beer at the local pub or head to the beach. How do I book my photoshoot?

What is included with the session?
All who participate will receive a photo session by award-winning portrait artist, Cyndi Kuiper, of Chickpea Photography located in charming and historic Point Richmond (total value $600). Participants also receive a $200 studio gift card to apply towards their portrait purchase. No digital files, prints or other products are included and must be purchased separately.
Why do you require a credit card for a complimentary session?
Unfortunately in the past, when we offered complimentary sessions without any reservation fee or credit card hold, we experienced a high number of late cancellations and no shows. We now require a $100 hold on your credit card at the time of booking. A charge is only made if you are a no-show at the appointment or you cancel with less than 72 hours notice.
