The Photoshoot
All who participate will receive a COMPLIMENTARY photoshoot by award-winning portrait artist, Cyndi Kuiper, of Chickpea Photography at her studio located in charming and historic Point Richmond (
$600 Value
).
This is your opportunity to try our photography services risk free and enjoy up to an hour in our studio.
The Photographs
While there’s absolutely no obligation to buy any of the images, you will have a fun and very special viewing session on Zoom where you look at your stunning portraits one week after your shoot in the comfort of your own home. Should you fall head over heels (which we’re pretty sure you will) with any of your images, we’ll help guide you through the options, ensuring the best fit for you and your budget. At that time, you can apply your $200 artwork credit toward any purchase.
Our artwork starts at $495; and most clients typically spend $1500 and up on their selected portraits.
How To Book.a Photoshoot
You can gain instant access to our booking calendar by clicking on any of the 'BOOK NOW' buttons. There you can select the date and time that bests works for you. All photoshoots are booked on an first-come, first-served basis with limited availability.
All our sessions require a $100 refundable reservation fee to hold your appointment on our calendar. In the past when we offered complimentary sessions without any reservation fee, we experienced many late cancellations and no shows. The $100 fee is refunded at your portrait session as long as you keep your appointments or provide at least 72 hours notice to reschedule.
Hey there, I'm Cyndi - your new photographer bestie!
Like many little girls, I wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up. but when I was 16, I discovered photography and knew that was my passion. Being able to combine my love of pets and photography is what brings me joy. Be able to create images that tug at your heart strings and make you laugh out loud is my super power.
When not working you can find me on the beach, or painting watercolors or binge watching the latest Netflix series. Oh and I almost forgot-cake-I love cake, lemon, chocolate, carrot...yum!

Life is often hectic in the San Francisco Bay Area. You're busy and the last thing you want to hassle with is figuring out what to wear, wondering if you dog will sit still, what if your kids don't behave, what if the hubby just stands there looking uncomfortable? And then you think "just forget it, I hate taking my picture anyway". This is why we help you with everything you need and make your time in the studio fun and relaxing. And that is a promise!

Why are you offering these sessions?
What we hear over and over from our clients is that their dog has been everything to them, often getting them through a difficult or challenging time with health or relationships. We are passionate about documenting the deeper relationships that make life happier. The bond between people and their dogs is so beautiful and inspiring. It’s a hard fact that we never get enough time with our dogs, and that they leave us too soon.

Where is the studio located?
We are thrilled to have a spot in charming and historic Point Richmond, the hidden waterfront city of the East Bay. Many clients enjoy hanging around in Point Richmond after (or before) the session to grab lunch or dinner, enjoy the cute shops, the art gallery, grab a beer at the local pub or head to the beach. What is included with the session?
All who participate will receive a photo session by award-winning portrait artist, Cyndi Kuiper, of Chickpea Photography located in charming and historic Point Richmond (total value $600). Participants also receive a $200 studio gift card to apply towards their portrait purchase. No digital files, prints or other products are included and must be purchased separately.
Why do you require a credit card when booking a complimentary session?
Unfortunately in the past when we offered complimentary sessions without any reservation fee, we experienced many late cancellations and no shows. We now require a $100 refundable retainer to book your time on the studio’s calendar. The $100 fee is fully refundable as long as you keep your appointments or provide at least 72 hours notice to reschedule so that we have enough time to fill your slot.
